Man takes photos in pink tutu to raise money for breast cancer

There have been a wide range of breast cancer awareness campaigns, but none other than Bob Carey's. Carey is a Brooklyn photographer, and what started out a joke quickly turned into a way to raise money for breast cancer, according to the New York Daily News.

While Carey and his wife Linda were moving from Arizona to New York, Carey posed in a pink giant tutu with pink shorts underneath, and his unfit bod on display in various towns and cities across the country. "The Tutu Project" became something more when Linda discovered her breast cancer returned, according to the news source.

After the cancer returned, Carey took the tutu on the road whenever he left. He posed in Delaware, Atlantic City and even squared off with the Naked Cowboy in Times Square. Now, he will take all of the photos and put them into a book, the profits of which will go toward breast cancer charities.

According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related death among women, following only lung cancer. However, the death rate has decreased since 1990 due to advancements in research and breakthrough breast cancer news.
